Easy apple cinnamon cake

Easy Apple Cinnamon Cake mixes tender cooked apples into a cinnamon-spiced batter enriched with yogurt and oil, creating a moist and flavorful cake. Baking in a springform pan results in a delicate crumb, and a dusting of icing sugar or whipped cream adds a light finishing touch. The warm cinnamon and soft apples complement each other, making this cake suitable for dessert or a cozy snack.

Description

Easy Apple Cinnamon Cake features peeled and lightly browned apples gently folded into a cinnamon-scented batter made from brown sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, yogurt, oil, eggs, and vanilla. The apples are lightly cooked beforehand to soften and develop some caramel notes, which enhances their presence in the finished cake.

Baked in a lined springform pan until a skewer comes out clean, the cake develops a soft, moist crumb with evenly distributed apple pieces. The subtle cinnamon flavor ties the components together without overpowering the natural sweetness of the apples.

This cake can be served simply dusted with icing sugar or alongside whipped cream for added richness. It suits afternoon tea or as a comforting dessert and stores well once cooled.
