Easy Asian Slaw

This Easy Asian Slaw features a crisp mix of green and purple cabbage, carrot, red bell pepper, and green onions dressed with a sesame-infused vinaigrette. The combination of fresh vegetables provides a crunchy texture and a colorful presentation. The sweet and tangy dressing adds depth to the slaw, making it a refreshing side dish or salad accompaniment.

Description

The Easy Asian Slaw combines thinly sliced green and purple cabbage, julienned carrots, sliced red bell pepper, and green onions, tossed with a simple sesame dressing composed of rice vinegar, canola oil, salt, sesame oil, and honey. The vegetables remain crisp after chilling, balanced by the dressing's tanginess and subtle sweetness. Sesame seeds garnish the slaw, adding a nutty hint and texture.

The slaw can be prepared with fresh vegetables or using pre-packaged coleslaw mix for convenience. It is best refrigerated for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld. This dish complements Asian-inspired meals or can be served as a light, vibrant side to various dishes.

Store-bought Asian sesame dressing can be used as a shortcut if preferred, maintaining the flavor profile with less preparation time.
