Easy Baseball Oreo Pops

Report
These Easy Baseball Oreo Pops transform classic Oreo cookies into fun, baseball-themed treats coated with white candy melts and decorated with red licorice laces. The combination of creamy filling, crunchy cookie, and smooth candy coating creates a sweet and playful dessert. They are great for sports-themed parties or snacks, providing both visual appeal and a satisfying texture from the chocolate dip and licorice details.

Description

Easy Baseball Oreo Pops start with Oreo cookies attached to lollipop sticks dipped into melted white candy melts, which serve as an adhesive to hold the cookies together and coat them. After cooling and hardening, the Oreos get fully dipped in white candy coating to create a smooth, glossy exterior. Red candy melts are melted and piped as stitches onto the red licorice pieces cut into small segments to mimic baseball laces placed on the cookie surface. The candy melts set quickly especially when chilled briefly in the freezer, resulting in a solid chocolate shell. The pops have a balanced sweetness from the cookie and coating, with chewy licorice adding a textural contrast that resembles baseball laces.

These decorated Oreo pops are suitable for sharing at baseball games, parties, or as themed treats for kids. Their stick form makes them easy to hold and eat without mess. They pair well with cold beverages and can be made in advance and stored in a cool place until serving.

  3. Open each Oreo, dip the end of each lollipop stick heavily into the melted chocolate and press your stick carefully into the white filling.
  4. Scoop a little extra melted candy melts onto the center and press the cookies together
  5. Allow the chocolate to harden then hold the stick and dip the Oreo into the melted chocolate, letting any excess drip off.
  6. Place the Oreo pops onto your parchment paper lined baking sheet and transfer the sheet to the freezer for 10 minutes.
  7. Heat your red candy melts on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted, pour into a decorating bag and cut a tiny tip off the bottom.
  8. Cut your shoestring licorice into 1 1/2” pieces, dip on side into the melted white chocolate and carefully press onto each side of the Oreo pops in the shape of half circles for baseball laces.
  9. Use the melted red candy decorating bag to draw about 5-6 laces on each licorice strip and let harden.

Notes

  • You can swap the white and red candy melts for other colors to create different sports or holiday themes.
  • Using parchment paper when assembling and cooling helps prevent sticking and keeps the pops intact.
  • Chilling the pops in the freezer speeds up the hardening of the candy coating for clean decorating.
  • Cut licorice pieces carefully to maintain the shape for authentic-looking baseball laces.
