Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced, small
  • 1 oz. can diced tomatoes undrained
  • 1 oz. can Kidney Beans drained
  • 1 oz. can black beans drained
  • 1 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper fresh ground

Instructions

  1. In a large nonstick saucepan, over medium heat, brown ground beef with onions. Cook until the beef is no longer pink. Drain.
  2. Add in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, tomato sauce, water, and seasonings (chili powder, sugar, cajun seasoning, salt and pepper). Stir to combine well.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for at least 20 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
