Ingredients

Servings
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips good quality
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt fine sea salt
  • 1 cup walnuts divided, chopped

Instructions

  1. Get out and measure your ingredients.
  2. Line an 8x8 or a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper, set aside.
  3. Place the chocolate chips in a large bowl and pour the sweetened condensed milk over them. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds on high. Let stand for 1 minute and stir until smooth. If the chocolate chips did not melt completely, microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla and sea salt, stir it in until combined.
  5. Fold in ¾ cup of the walnuts until thoroughly mixed in.
  6. Pour the fudge into the prepared baking dish and smooth out the top.
  7. Press in the remaining walnuts on top.
  8. Cover with foil or plastic wrap and place in the fridge for 15 minutes or until set. Take the fudge out of the dish by using the parchment paper to lift it up.
  9. Cut into squares.
  10. Serve and enjoy every bite.
  11. Notes
  12. This fudge is best enjoyed at room temperature.
  13. It is very thick, rich, and creamy. I like to use semi-sweet chocolate chips so it is not overly sweet, but you can use your favorite variety of chocolate chips. Just make sure to use good quality chocolate such as Ghirardelli so it melts smooth.
  14. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
  15. For a more sweet and salty effect, sprinkle more salt right on top with the walnuts. Or, you can use salted walnuts.
