Easy Cinnamon Roll Peach Cobbler

This peach cobbler recipe combines fresh peach slices cooked with cinnamon and nutmeg, topped with pieces of cinnamon roll dough for a unique twist. The dish bakes until the peaches bubble and the cinnamon rolls brown, then is finished with a smooth vanilla glaze. The result is a warm, soft dessert with spicy fruit sweetness and a tender, slightly doughy topping that blends classic cinnamon roll flavors into a cobbler format.

Description

Easy Cinnamon Roll Peach Cobbler starts by cooking peeled, pitted peach slices with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water until slightly softened and flavorful. This fruit filling is placed in a greased baking dish and covered with cut pieces of canned cinnamon roll dough. Covered and baked initially to gently heat, then uncovered to brown and bubble, this method ensures the peaches are tender and the topping golden.

The topping brings familiar cinnamon and sugar flavors from the rolls into the cobbler, offering a soft, bread-like texture contrasting with the juicy peaches underneath. After baking, the cobbler is drizzled with a smooth glaze made of powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream to add sweetness and moisture.

This cobbler is best enjoyed fresh and can be stored in the refrigerator for easy reheating. Its combination of spice, fruit, and cinnamon roll elements creates a comforting dessert with a unique texture and familiar flavors.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 peach peeled, pitted and sliced, large
  • 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon roll dough can, pre-made
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 Tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Set aside.
  2. In a medium sized saucepan, heat peaches, sugar, flour, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg over med-low heat, for about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow mixture to cool, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour peaches into the baking dish.
  4. Cut each cinnamon roll into fourths, and sprinkle the dough evenly over the top of the peaches.
  5. Tent a piece of foil over the baking dish, and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil, and bake the cobbler for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until peaches are bubbling and cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
  7. Whisk powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 1 Tbsp heavy cream together. If the glaze is too thick, add the additional Tbsp of heavy cream.
  8. Once the glaze is at your desired consistency, drizzle it over the top of the cinnamon roll peach cobbler.
  9. Store leftovers in the fridge.
  10. Enjoy!
