This Easy French Toast Recipe (Pakistani), made with a sugar-sweetened egg custard is crispy on the outside and moist and tender inside.

Ingredients
- 4 eggs (see notes)
- ¼ cup full fat milk
- 8 tbsps granulated sugar
- 8 slices white bread (see notes)
- ¼ cup cooking oil
Instructions
- Mix the eggs, sugar, and milk, whisking well till you have no white left. (see notes)
- Preheat the Oil in a frying pan. (see notes)
- Use a fork and press the bread slices gently into the custard to cover the bread completely. Flip and repeat to soak the other side and move gently to the frying pan. (see notes)
- Cook on each side for 2 minutes on high heat and serve. (see notes)
Notes
- The eggs - Make sure to use extra large eggs for this recipe.
- The bread - I use Pepperidge Farm's Farmhouse Hearty white bread for this recipe. If you use a different bread, please ensure it's ½ inch thick.
- The sugar—You will notice that the sugar seems to settle to the bottom of the egg and milk mixture. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes to dissolve it. Any remaining granules will caramelize as the French toast cooks, giving it a delicious flavor and texture.
