Easy Fruit Pizza
Description
This dessert begins by pressing sugar cookie dough into a pizza pan, baking it until lightly browned and crisp on the edges while still soft in the center. The crust provides a sweet, buttery base. A cream cheese mixture incorporating granulated sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla is whipped until fluffy and spread evenly over the cooled crust, adding a smooth, tangy layer.
Fruits are arranged from the edges inward in a visually appealing pattern, combining flavors ranging from the tartness of kiwi and strawberries to the sweetness of mandarin oranges and grapes. A brush of warmed strawberry or apple jelly adds a glossy finish and a subtle fruity sweetness. Refrigeration allows the flavors to set, resulting in a cohesive, fresh dessert with varied textures from the crisp crust to juicy fruit.
This fruit pizza is ideal for gatherings or a refreshing treat and can be prepared ahead of time. The chilled sweet cream cheese layer complements the natural fruit flavors, while the cookie crust adds pleasant structure.
