Easy Garlic Bread Recipe
Description
The Easy Garlic Bread recipe starts by slicing a large loaf of French or Italian bread horizontally to expose a wide surface for topping. A mixture of softened butter, shaved Parmesan, olive oil, finely minced garlic, and herbs such as thyme, parsley, basil, rosemary, or dried Italian seasoning is spread generously over the cut sides. Seasoning with salt and black pepper rounds out the flavor.
Baking the prepared bread in a hot oven at 450°F for about 8 minutes produces crisp, golden edges while the topping melts into a richly flavored garlic butter spread. Serving immediately preserves the crunch and warm, aromatic qualities.
This garlic bread makes a versatile side for many meals or a quick snack. It pairs well with pasta, soups, salads, or can be enjoyed on its own. Leftover garlic bread can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days and reheated, or prepared ahead by assembling and freezing the bread unbaked. When frozen, baking time extends slightly to heat through the frozen loaf.
