Easy Greek Chicken Souvlaki Recipe
Description
The Easy Greek Chicken Souvlaki recipe centers on marinating chicken cubes in a mixture of extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, and salt. The marinade infuses the chicken for at least an hour or overnight to enhance flavor and juiciness. Grilling the skewers on medium-high heat develops a crisp exterior while maintaining a tender interior.
Serving includes warm pita bread, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, onions, and olives, creating a balanced meal with fresh, bright, and creamy elements complementing the grilled chicken. The recipe captures authentic Greek flavors through the marinade and accompaniments.
Practical tips include freezing marinated chicken for convenience and allowing for even cooking by cutting pieces uniformly. Proper grill temperature ensures the best texture, and leftovers can be stored refrigerated for a few days.
