Easy Grilled Broccoli Salad

This grilled broccoli salad with creamy avocado, goat's cheese and red onion is the perfect side salad for meat and fish.

Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
For the salad
- 4 cups salad greens
- ½ red onion thinly sliced
- 1 avocado sliced
- 100 g (3oz) goat's cheese roughly crumbled/sliced
- Lemon dressing
Instructions
- Slice the broccoli into florets. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill over high heat (or in a grill pan) until just cooked and caramelized.
- Scatter the salad greens into a large bowl or serving platter then top with the grilled broccoli.
- Slice red onion thinly and slice/chop the avocado.
- Add red onion, avocado and chunks of soft goat's cheese to the leaves and broccoli.
- Make the dressing of your choice and pour over the salad then serve.
