Easy Halloween Cake and Cupcakes
Description
The Easy Halloween Cake and Cupcakes recipe involves baking chocolate Rocky Road cakes and cupcakes, then decorating with creative chocolate ghost figures. The cakes are baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, with baking times varying by size—about 35 minutes for a 5-inch or 8-9 inch cake, and 15-20 minutes for cupcakes. Meanwhile, white and milk chocolates are melted separately to dip fudge wafers, which are then decorated with chocolate faces to resemble ghosts.
Once cakes are cooled and frosted, the ghost chocolates are arranged around the cake on a serving plate, and plastic Halloween ring decorations are added to enhance the festive presentation. Additional decorative touches such as ribbons or fresh strawberries dipped in white chocolate may be included. This combination creates a visually fun and seasonal dessert centerpiece.
The method combines classic cake baking with simple decorations that can be prepared in advance, enabling a thematic, fun dessert for Halloween celebrations. The use of store-bought ingredients like chocolate chips and fudge wafers simplifies preparation. Frozen or leftover material can be repurposed for more ghost cookies, enhancing the party treats.
