Easy Homemade Peach Cobbler

Easy Homemade Peach Cobbler uses defrosted frozen peaches sweetened with granulated sugar layered under a simple batter made from flour, baking powder, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk, and melted butter. Baked in a buttered dish at 375°F, the batter rises around the peaches creating a soft, cakey topping with a cinnamon sweetness balancing the juicy fruit beneath. This straightforward recipe offers a classic, comforting dessert with minimal ingredients.

Description

This Peach Cobbler recipe starts by mixing defrosted frozen peaches with sugar to bring out their natural sweetness and juices. Melted butter coats the baking dish's bottom to add richness and prevent sticking. A batter composed of flour, baking powder, salts, sugars including cinnamon, and milk is prepared and poured over the butter layer. The peaches, with their juice, are spooned over the batter before baking.

As it bakes at 375°F for about 45-55 minutes, the batter puffs and sets with a soft, cakey texture while the peach layer underneath becomes tender and juicy. The cinnamon and brown sugar in the batter add warm, sweet spice notes that enhance the peach flavor without overpowering it.

This cobbler serves as a simple dessert ideal for using frozen fruit. It can be enjoyed as-is or accompanied by ice cream or whipped cream. The recipe includes freezing and reheating instructions to store leftovers up to six months, extending its convenience for future enjoyment.
