Easy Keto Fat Bombs (Three Ingredients!)

Easy Keto Fat Bombs are rich, firm balls made from natural creamy peanut butter, cocoa powder, and a low-carb sweetener that blends into a thick, dough-like texture. Designed to provide a concentrated fat source, these bites have a chocolate-peanut flavor and are shaped by hand for convenient snacking. Optional salt and water balance sweetness and texture, making them adjustable to personal taste and consistency preferences.

Description

This recipe for Easy Keto Fat Bombs uses only three main ingredients: natural creamy peanut butter, unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder, and a low-carb sweetener like stevia glycerite. Mixing these ingredients yields a very thick mixture with a playdough-like consistency that can be portioned and shaped into balls by hand. The Dutch-process cocoa contributes a milder, darker chocolate flavor with less acidity compared to natural cacao, which blends smoothly with peanut butter.

The fat bombs offer a compact and rich flavor with a balance from the sweetness of the stevia-based sweetener. Optional tweaks include adding salt if the peanut butter is unsalted and a small amount of water to adjust batter consistency if needed. The texture depends on the thickness and freshness of the peanut butter; adding coconut flour can thicken overly wet mixtures. These fat bombs can be enjoyed immediately or stored under controlled conditions.

For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature up to two days or refrigerate up to five days. Allow refrigerated fat bombs to soften at room temperature before eating for improved texture. Using freshly opened peanut butter is recommended for optimal consistency during preparation.

Ingredients

Servings
  • ½ cup peanut butter Natural, creamy; use a freshly opened jar
  • 1 teaspoon stevia glycerite Scant. Equals a scant ⅓ cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder Unsweetened, Dutch-processed

Optional ingredients:

  • Pinch salt Only if your peanut butter doesn't contain salt, sea salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons water Optional if using a powdered sweetener and the batter is too dry

Instructions

  1. Combine the peanut butter, sweetener, and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients with a fork or rubber spatula until smooth. The mixture will be very thick. It should have the texture of edible playdough.
  3. Use a scant cookie scoop (a 2-tablespoon scoop) to portion the mixture, then shape each portion into a smooth ball with your hands. If you use stevia, you should get six balls. With a powdered sweetener, you should get seven.
  4. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use Dutch-processed cocoa powder for a milder and less acidic chocolate flavor.
  • Use powdered sweeteners to avoid a grainy texture; if used, add water gradually to achieve smooth dough.
  • Freshly opened and well-stirred peanut butter provides an ideal consistency; refrigerated peanut butter is thicker and more difficult to mix.
  • Adjust thickness by adding coconut flour if too wet or water if too dry, aiming for a firm dough easy to shape.
  • Store fat bombs airtight at room temperature for two days or in the refrigerator up to five days, allowing them to soften before serving.
