Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayo (¾ cup), yogurt (¾ cup), lemon juice (1 TBL), garlic powder (½ tsp), onion powder (¼ tsp), dried dill (1 tsp) and fresh dill (¼ cup) together and stir until smooth and incorporated.
  2. Refrigerate until needed.

Notes

  • Use plant-based mayonnaise and Greek yogurt to make this a delicious dairy-free lemon dill sauce!
  • Use on your favorite fish, chicken, Mediterranean foods, veggies, potatoes and so much more! How will you use it?
  • Variations
  • Store dill sauce in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
  • Use lemon dill sauce as a dip (keep it nice and thick)
  • Lemon dill dressing, thin it out with a little milk, or half and half)
  • As a dip, you may want to keep the sauce thick. However, thin the fresh sauce with a few tablespoons of milk or heavy cream for a light dressing.
  • Add lemon zest for extra citrus flavor.
  • Use only fresh dill for a more mild dill flavor or only dried dill for a stronger taste.
  • Skip the mayo and use only Greek yogurt for a healthier sauce.
  • Use reduced-fat Greek yogurt and mayo, if preferred.
  • Sour cream is another alternative to plain yogurt or mayonnaise.
  • Add Dijon mustard for extra tanginess and another layer of flavor.
  • Replace the garlic powder with fresh garlic, minced.
