Easy M&M Cookies
Description
The dough begins with creaming butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy, then eggs and vanilla extract are mixed in. Dry ingredients including all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda are gradually combined into the wet mixture. M&Ms are gently folded in to distribute throughout the dough.
The cookies are portioned by spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet and baked at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges set and the centers remain tender. This brief baking time ensures a soft and chewy texture with just enough structure to hold the M&Ms in place without too much spreading.
These cookies work well for casual snacking and celebrations with their bright, colorful candy pieces providing sweetness and a slight crunch contrasted with the soft cookie base.
