Easy Non-Dairy Cream Cheese Frosting

This non-dairy cream cheese frosting uses softened vegan cream cheese combined with creamed honey and optional beet crystal dye for color. The texture is smooth and whip-like, suitable for piping or spreading on cupcakes or baked goods. It offers a dairy-free alternative with subtle sweetness and customizable appearance.

Description

The Easy Non-Dairy Cream Cheese Frosting blends vegan cream cheese with creamed honey for sweetness. Creamed honey provides a better texture to hold piping shapes compared to regular honey, which can thin the frosting. Whipping until smooth, the frosting can be tinted with beet crystal or other food dyes for color. The result is a creamy, slightly sweet topping that suits dairy-free diets.

The frosting works well as a spread on baked goods or for piping decorations. When refrigerated, it firms up somewhat and can be softened by letting it sit at room temperature briefly before use. Adding vanilla extract can enhance flavor, especially when omitting sugar to make it sugar-free. Powdered sugar may also be added as desired to adjust sweetness and consistency.
