Loaded with chicken, garlic, and a creamy lemon sauce, this creamy lemon chicken pasta is made in just one pan in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients
- 1 small onion about 1/2 cup, diced
- 4 cloves garlic finely minced or pressed
- 2 chicken breast cubed, boneless
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon basil dried
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- 3 cups water or chicken broth
- 12 oz pasta I used penne, but you can Spaghetti, Elbows, Linguine or Rotini or your favorite shape, boxed
- lemon zest about 1 tablespoon
- 1/4 cup lemon juice from the same lemon, freshly squeezed
- 1/2 cup light cream or heavy cream
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large 10-12'' pan. Add the diced onions and cook for 2-3 minutes or until tender, add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds; add the diced chicken and spices and cook for 5-7 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Next add the pasta and water or chicken broth and cook for 8-12 minutes or until pasta is al-dente. Lastly, add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and cream. Mix well and cook for another minute then remove from heat, while leaving the pasta still wet.
- Top with fresh lemons, basil, or parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
