Easy One Skillet Lasagna
Description
Easy One Skillet Lasagna starts by sautéing onions and garlic, then browning ground beef before adding marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. The sauce is simmered to meld flavors, then layered in a skillet with broken lasagna noodles and a cottage cheese blend mixed with fresh parsley. Mozzarella cheese is added between layers for a melty finish. Covering the skillet with foil traps moisture while baking, allowing the noodles to cook in the sauce until tender. Finishing with a brief rest ensures the lasagna holds together when served.
This version streamlines classic lasagna by using broken noodles and cooking everything in one pan, reducing cleanup and preparation complexity. Garnishing with fresh parsley or basil adds a bright herbal note to the rich cheeses and meat sauce. It serves as a satisfying and approachable dinner option without multiple dishes or excessive steps.
Variations include swapping cottage cheese for ricotta, using no-boil noodles with adjusted bake time, or mixing in Italian sausage with ground beef. Adding red pepper flakes can introduce gentle heat, and different prepared sauces allow flavor customization. The recipe adapts well to pan size and available ingredients, making it versatile for home cooks.
