Easy Peach Crisp

Easy Peach Crisp features fresh peeled and sliced peaches spiced with cinnamon and topped with an oatmeal streusel. Baking this fruit dessert yields a warm, lightly crisp topping with tender, juicy peach filling underneath. It’s ideal for serving with milk or ice cream as a comforting sweet treat.

Description

Easy Peach Crisp starts with peeled, cored, and sliced fresh peaches mixed with sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon. This mixture forms a sweet and slightly spiced fruit layer. The topping combines old-fashioned oats, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, and baking powder, which are mixed with cold butter until crumbly, producing a streusel crust.

The assembled crisp is baked until the top is golden brown and slightly firm. The contrast between the crisp, buttery oatmeal topping and the soft, bubbling peach filling provides a pleasing texture combination. Cinnamon adds warmth and depth to the fruit’s natural sweetness.

It is served warm, commonly accompanied by milk or a scoop of ice cream to complement the spiced peaches and crumbly topping. The recipe uses a straightforward technique suitable for home bakers seeking a classic fruit dessert.
