Easy Rum Cake

This Easy Rum Cake combines a yellow cake mix with instant vanilla pudding and spiced rum for added moistness and flavor. The cake is baked in a Bundt pan and finished with a warm glaze made from sugar, butter, water, and spiced rum poured over the hot cake. The glaze soaks into the cake, enriching its texture and imparting a gentle rum aroma, producing a moist, flavorful dessert.

Description

The Easy Rum Cake uses a yellow cake mix enhanced with instant vanilla pudding mix and spiced rum to add depth and moisture. Additional ingredients like water, vegetable oil, and eggs are combined into a smooth batter, which is baked in a prepared Bundt pan. Baking at 325°F for about an hour ensures the cake cooks evenly and remains tender.

The glaze, made by boiling sugar, butter, water, and spiced rum, is poured over the cake while still hot and left to soak for 30 minutes. This glazing step moistens the cake from the outside and adds a subtle rum sweetness that balances the cake's vanilla and mild spice notes.

The cake can be served as a dessert on its own or with whipped cream or fruit if desired. Its moist crumb and rum-infused glaze make it suitable for celebrations or casual gatherings.
