Easy Skin On Fries
Description
This recipe for Easy Skin On Fries begins by thoroughly scrubbing potatoes and cutting them into disc shapes before slicing into fries. Soaking the fries in water for an hour helps to extract starch. After drying well, they are tossed with vegetable oil and a french fry seasoning blend before spreading on a baking tray and baked in a hot oven.
The roasting process yields fries with a crisp outer layer while maintaining softness within. Leaving the skins on adds texture and nutrients. The seasoning provides balanced flavor to complement the natural potato taste without overpowering.
These fries can accompany many meals as a side dish or stand alone as a snack. The recipe emphasizes using a non-stick baking tray or lining with baking paper to prevent sticking. Alternatively, the same method works if peeling the potatoes instead of leaving skins on.
