Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

This Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp features a canned strawberry rhubarb pie filling mixed with fresh sliced strawberries, topped with a crumbly blend of flour, sugar, oats, butter, and salt. Once baked, the topping turns golden and crisp while the filling bubbles warmly beneath. It is served warm, often with ice cream, combining tart and sweet flavors with a tender, crunchy texture.

Description

Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp uses pre-made canned strawberry rhubarb pie filling and fresh strawberries to build the fruit base. The crisp topping consists of all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, rolled oats, softened butter, and a pinch of salt, combined until crumbly and evenly spread over the fruit in small baking dishes. Baking at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes develops a golden-brown crust as the filling heats through and bubbles. The contrast between tender fruit and slightly crunchy topping creates a comforting dessert with sweet and tart notes.

This dessert can be served warm directly from individual ramekins or small quiche dishes. A scoop of ice cream or whipped cream complements the warm crisp, offsetting the tartness of rhubarb and adding creaminess. It's suitable as an after-meal treat or for special occasions due to its accessible preparation.
