Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp
Description
Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp uses pre-made canned strawberry rhubarb pie filling and fresh strawberries to build the fruit base. The crisp topping consists of all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, rolled oats, softened butter, and a pinch of salt, combined until crumbly and evenly spread over the fruit in small baking dishes. Baking at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes develops a golden-brown crust as the filling heats through and bubbles. The contrast between tender fruit and slightly crunchy topping creates a comforting dessert with sweet and tart notes.
This dessert can be served warm directly from individual ramekins or small quiche dishes. A scoop of ice cream or whipped cream complements the warm crisp, offsetting the tartness of rhubarb and adding creaminess. It's suitable as an after-meal treat or for special occasions due to its accessible preparation.
