Edible Cookie Dough

Edible Cookie Dough is a no-bake sweet treat made from softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, graham cracker crumbs, milk, salt, and mini semisweet chocolate chips. This mixture creates a creamy, scoopable dough that’s safe to eat raw since it excludes raw flour and eggs, making it a fun snack or dessert component.

Description

This Edible Cookie Dough uses butter and brown sugar creamed together with vanilla to form a smooth base. Instead of raw flour, graham cracker crumbs provide texture and a mild flavor safe for consumption without baking. Milk and salt balance moisture and taste, while mini semisweet chocolate chips add bursts of chocolate throughout. The dough is scooped and rolled in additional chocolate chips for a final touch.

The resulting dough is rich and creamy with sweet, crunchy chocolate chip bits. It requires chilling to set before serving to hold its shape. This preparation mimics cookie dough flavor and texture without the food safety risks of raw eggs and flour.

Enjoy Edible Cookie Dough as a standalone snack or use it to top desserts like ice cream or puddings. It keeps refrigerated and is best served cool for optimal texture.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 1/2 cups butter softened, unsalted
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup milk whole
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips , (semisweet)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a baking sheet or large tray with parchment paper or wax paper.
  2. To your stand mixer add the butter, brown sugar and vanilla on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add in the graham cracker crumbs, milk, salt and 1 cup of the mini chocolate chips.
  4. Using a 2 tablespoon scoop, scoop the cookie dough onto a tray with the remaining chocolate chips spread out over it and roll over more chips. (Don't dip into a bowl of chips or it will get way too many onto the bites, make sure they are spread out).
  5. Refrigerate until serving.
