Edible Cookie Dough

This Edible Cookie Dough uses heat-treated flour combined with softened butter, brown and granulated sugars, milk, vanilla, and mini chocolate chips to create a safe-to-eat dough without eggs. The flour is baked or microwaved to eliminate bacteria, ensuring the dough can be enjoyed raw. It has a rich, creamy sweetness balanced by the melty chocolate chips, making it a popular treat for snacking or dessert without the need for baking.

Description

The Edible Cookie Dough starts with careful heat treatment of all-purpose flour to remove any harmful bacteria. Softened salted butter is beaten with brown and white sugar to create a creamy base. Milk and vanilla extract add moisture and flavor before gradually mixing in the cooled flour to build a classic cookie dough texture that is safe for raw consumption. Mini chocolate chips are folded in last to provide bursts of chocolate throughout the dough.

This dough is designed solely to be eaten raw and not baked. Its texture is soft and scoopable with a balanced sweetness from the sugars and vanilla. The heat-treated flour ensures food safety without affecting the traditional taste associated with cookie dough flavors.

It can be customized by adding other mix-ins in place of chocolate chips. For safety, always fully cool treated flour before mixing with butter to prevent melting and preserve the dough's structure.
