Eggnog Fudge

Eggnog Fudge blends the creamy richness of white chocolate with the seasonal flavor of eggnog and a touch of heavy cream, creating a smooth, velvety confection. The mixture is cooked to a precise temperature to achieve the ideal fudgy texture before folding in chopped walnuts for a crunchy contrast. Chilling the fudge allows it to set firmly, making it easy to slice into squares for serving.

Description

Eggnog Fudge combines butter, sugar, eggnog, and cream heated to the soft ball stage before adding vanilla, white chocolate chips, and marshmallow cream to produce a luscious, smooth base. The walnuts add texture and a nutty complement to the sweet, creamy fudge. Once poured into a foil-lined pan and chilled, the fudge firmens with a glossy surface and a dense yet creamy bite. It’s a seasonal treat that highlights the warming spices and flavors typical of eggnog while providing the satisfying richness of traditional fudge.

The method involves careful temperature control to ensure the fudge sets properly without becoming grainy. Stirring in the marshmallow cream contributes to a smooth consistency, while the white chocolate chips bring a delicate sweetness and softness. Chilling the fudge for at least two hours lets it solidify sufficiently for clean slicing.

This fudge serves well as a festive dessert or gift during the holiday season. The walnuts offer a balance to the creamy sweetness, giving each bite a pleasing crunch. You can store leftovers in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and texture.
