Flag Cake

You have got to celebrate the Fourth of July with this festive, fresh, and delicious flag cake! It's so simple and easy, yet it's easily the star of the show!

Ingredients

  • 1 white cake mix prepared according to the package, boxed
  • 1 16- Ounce whipped topping thawed, container
  • 2 Blueberry fresh, half-pints
  • 2 Cups strawberry hulled and sliced, fresh
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Bake the white cake according to the instructions on the box using a 9x13 pan. Let cool completely.
  2. Top with half of the container of thawed whipped topping.
  3. In the upper left-hand corner use the blueberries to create the star section of the flag.
  4. Use the strawberries to create 5 red stripes across the remainder of the cake, starting along the top and finishing along the bottom.
  5. Use the remaining whipped topping to pipe four white stripes in the spaces between the strawberry stripes.
  6. Serve immediately.
