Fluff Icing
Description
Fluff Icing is a cotton-candy-like frosting blending room-temperature butter with marshmallow creme, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. The combination results in a light and fluffy texture, sweeter than traditional buttercream. Milk can be added in small amounts to reach the desired piping consistency.
This icing is typically piped onto cupcakes but can also be spread on cakes or cookies. Its sweet marshmallow flavor and creamy body provide a distinctive contrast to denser baked goods.
This recipe yields enough frosting to cover about 12 cupcakes. Store unused icing covered in the refrigerator and bring to room temperature before using.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 7 oz marshmallow creme fluff
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 tablespoons milk optional
Instructions
- Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy and well mixed.
- Mix in fluff and vanilla by hand and mix well.
- If needed mix 1-2 tablespoons milk to get to the desired consistency.
- Add to piping bag and pipe onto cupcakes.
Notes
- This recipe makes enough Fluff Icing to frost approximately 12 cupcakes.
