Fra diavolo is a spicy Italian-American tomato sauce traditionally used for pasta or seafood.

Ingredients
- 1 lb Shrimp , peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic , thinly sliced
- 1 large onion , chopped
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 16 oz. peeled and crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 16 oz. linguine (or spaghetti, cooked according to package instructions)
- salt
- black pepper , freshly ground
- parmesan , to serve

Instructions
- Heat the olive oil over high heat in a large sauté pan.
- Season the shrimp with garlic salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the hot pan and fry over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Pour the onions and garlic into the frying pan and brown them over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently and taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Add the white wine, peeled tomatoes, lemon juice, basil, parsley and chili flakes.
- Cook for 15 minutes covered and over medium heat.
- Return the sautéed shrimp to the pan and toss.
- Add the pasta to the pan and toss to coat all the ingredients.
- Serve immediately with parmesan.
