French Silk Pie Brownies
Description
This dessert starts with a base of fudge brownies baked according to box directions and cooled completely. A French silk pie topping is made by melting a German chocolate bar with butter, then blending in cream cheese and confectioners sugar for a creamy texture. Half of the thawed frozen whipped topping is folded into the chocolate mixture, creating a light mousse-like consistency. This filling is spread evenly over the brownies. The remaining whipped topping is spread on top, smoothing for a layered look. Chocolate curls or shavings can garnish the final dessert. Refrigerating for at least four hours allows the filling to firm up before slicing. The combination provides a rich, creamy chocolate experience balanced by the dense brownie beneath.
