Fresas con Crema

Fresas con Crema is a creamy strawberry dessert mixing fresh hulled strawberries with a whipped blend of sour cream (or Greek yogurt), evaporated milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla. The result is a rich, smooth cream that complements the fresh strawberries. It is served chilled in portions topped optionally with whipped cream.

Description

This dessert combines thinly sliced fresh strawberries with a creamy mixture made by beating sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) with evaporated milk, heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly thickened. The sweetened condensed milk provides both sweetness and richness, balancing the tartness of the strawberries and sour cream. Chilling the combined components allows flavors to meld and the cream to thicken slightly.

The texture is smooth and velvety, contrasting with the fresh, juicy sliced strawberries. This makes a refreshing and indulgent dish that is commonly served as a sweet treat or at gatherings.

Fresas con Crema is typically divided into individual servings by layering fresh strawberries and cream mixture in cups or bowls. Topping with whipped cream is optional but adds lightness and extra creaminess.
