Fried Chicken Wings

Fried Chicken Wings feature a buttermilk marinade combined with a seasoned flour coating that creates a crispy, golden exterior and a juicy interior. The wings are double-coated—flour, then egg, then flour again—before frying at 350°F, ensuring a crunchy texture. This recipe uses a blend of garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt for balanced seasoning. Fried wings are garnished with chopped parsley and are suitable for sharing as a snack or appetizer.

Description

Fried Chicken Wings begin by soaking party-style wings in buttermilk, which helps tenderize the meat and adds moisture. After marinating for at least 30 minutes, the wings are coated twice in a seasoned flour mixture and beaten egg, layering flavor and crunch. Deep frying in vegetable oil heated to 350°F for 7-8 minutes per batch cooks the wings evenly, resulting in a crispy crust and tender inside. The seasoning blend including kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic, and onion powders highlights the chicken without overwhelming it.

The wings can be served warm, garnished with fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness. These wings work well as finger food for gatherings or as part of a meal paired with dipping sauces or sides.

This method ensures a satisfying crispy texture through the double coating and maintaining proper oil temperature. Draining on paper towels removes excess oil, preserving the crispiness after frying.
