Fried Oreos
Description
This recipe coats standard Oreo cookies in a batter made from pancake mix, egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. The cookies are fully submerged in hot oil heated to 350°F and fried for 3 to 4 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even browning. The exterior becomes a golden, crispy shell, while the Oreo softens internally, creating a warm, gooey texture inside.
After frying, the Oreos are drained and dusted with powdered sugar. Serving them immediately preserves the crispy texture. Optional raspberry sauce provides a fruity balance and an additional layer of flavor for dipping.
Fried Oreos make a unique dessert or sweet snack that combines familiar cookie flavors with the unexpected contrast of fried batter and warm filling.
