Fried Tacos Recipe is a twist on a classic recipe. You will love the crispy texture and amazing flavor for the perfect weeknight meal.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 Tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Cups Mexican shredded cheese blend
- 12 corn tortillas
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef with the onions in a skillet until brown. Drain the excess grease.
- Stir in the water, taco seasoning and salsa.
- Heat uncovered for 3-5 minutes until the flavors are combined.
- Heat the tortillas in the microwave for 30 seconds and then lay them out in a clean work surface.
- Spoon the taco meat onto each tortilla and top with the shredded cheese.
- Fold each of the corn tortillas in half.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a clean skillet over medium high heat.
- Once the oil is heated to approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit, place 1-2 tacos in the hot oil at a time. Cook the tacos for 2-3 minutes per side until both sides are browned.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the tacos to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess grease.
- Continue this process until all the tacos are fried.
- Allow the tacos to cool slightly and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Make sure that the oil does not get too hot when frying or the tacos will burn.
