Frozen Banana Snickers
Description
This recipe involves slicing a banana into quarters, then layering each piece with date caramel sauce and peanut butter. Chopped peanuts add crunch, and a drizzle of melted dark chocolate blended with coconut oil creates a glossy finishing touch. The assembled banana sections are placed on parchment paper and frozen for 1-2 hours or overnight until firm.
The combination delivers a balance of sweet, salty, creamy, and crunchy textures reminiscent of a traditional Snickers candy bar, but with fresh fruit as the base. These frozen snacks are convenient to prepare and enjoy as a chilled dessert or sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 2 teaspoons date caramel sauce
- 2 teaspoons peanut butter
- 1 Tablespoon peanut chopped
- 2-3 Tablespoons dark chocolate chips
- ¼ teaspoon coconut oil
Instructions
- Slice banana in half and then split down the middle so you have four sections. Add to a parchment lined baking sheet or dish.
- Spread a layer of the date caramel sauce on top of the banana slices.
- Then spread on a layer of peanut butter.
- Sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 15 second increments, stirring in between until melted. Drizzle melted chocolate over banana slices. Place in freezer for 1-2 hours or overnight to harden. Enjoy!
