Frozen Sausages In Air Fryer

This recipe shows how to cook frozen sausages in an air fryer by initially separating them at lower heat, then cooking until browned at a higher temperature. It uses a two-step process to evenly cook sausages without thawing, suitable for thicker varieties.

Description

Frozen Sausages In Air Fryer begins with placing frozen sausages stuck together in the basket and air frying at 160°C (320°F) for 8 minutes. This softens the sausages and allows them to be separated by hand without breaking.

After spreading the sausages apart to ensure even cooking, they are air fried at 180°C (360°F) for an additional 10 minutes to brown the exterior and cook thoroughly. The cooking duration can be adjusted depending on sausage thickness to reach desired doneness.

This method is convenient for cooking frozen sausage links directly from the freezer, avoiding thawing time while achieving a crisp, browned surface and cooked centers.

Notes recommend shorter final cook times for thinner sausages and reference further air fryer recipes using frozen meats.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 sausages frozen

Kitchen Gadgets

  • Cosori Air Fryer

Instructions

  1. Remove the frozen sausages from the packaging and place the lump of frozen sausages that are stuck together into the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry for 8 minutes at 160c/320f as this will help separate them.
  3. Then use your hands to separate the sausages. They will be on their way to being defrosted now.
  4. Then after spreading out the sausages air fry for a further 10 minutes at 180c/360f.
  5. After the 10 minutes is up check to see if the sausages are brown enough for you, or if you want to add a little longer before serving.

Notes

  • Thick sausages require about 10 minutes of final cooking; thinner ones may need only 6 minutes.
  • Separating sausages after initial cook prevents tearing and ensures even browning.
