Frozen Strawberry Dessert Recipe
Description
A crust of graham cracker crumbs mixed with melted butter is pressed evenly into the bottom and sides of a springform pan and chilled in the freezer. The filling consists of strawberries blended together with sugar and orange juice, producing a smooth puree. This is folded into a mixture of softened cream cheese beaten with powdered sugar and whipped heavy cream, creating a light and creamy fruit-flavored filling.
The filling is poured over the chilled crust, covered, and frozen for 6 to 8 hours until firm. The final dessert can be served cold, topped with additional whipped cream or a similar topping like cool whip, lending a fluffy contrast to the denser filling.
This frozen dessert is straightforward yet flavorful, balancing the slight tartness of strawberries with creaminess and a hint of citrus from the orange juice. Preparing it in a springform pan helps releasing the dessert neatly for presentation and serving.
It is ideal for making in advance for summer gatherings or as a make-ahead cold dessert option.
