Description

Fruit Salsa combines a variety of fresh fruits—kiwi, apple, pineapple, strawberries, and peach—each chopped into bite-sized pieces. The apples are coated with lemon juice to prevent browning and maintain a bright appearance. The mixture is gently folded with strawberry preserves, which adds sweetness and helps bind the fruit together.

Ingredients

  • 3 kiwi peeled and diced
  • 2 apple peeled and diced, sprinkled with lemon juice
  • 1 cup pineapple diced
  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 1 peach peeled and diced
  • 3 tbsp Strawberry Preserves plus more as needed

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, gently mix all chopped fruit together.  Make sure your apples are sprinkled nicely with lemon juice to prevent browning. Add fruit preserves. 
  2. Add fruit preserves. Taste and and add more fruit preserves, if needed. You can also add 1-2 TB sugar if you’d prefer.
  3. Cover fruit salsa and chill in fridge until serving.Serve with cinnamon sugar tortilla chips.

Notes

  • Peach can be substituted with nectarines, mango, or orange segments based on availability and preference.
  • Use different fruit preserves such as raspberry to vary the flavor profile.
  • Honeycrisp apples are preferred for their balance of sweet and tart flavor and crispy texture.
  • Microwaving preserves briefly softens them for easier mixing.
  • Serve with cinnamon sugar tortilla chips for a complementary texture and taste contrast.
