Fruity Frozen Yogurt Bark
Description
The recipe mixes Greek yogurt with maple syrup and almond extract, poured evenly into a parchment-lined pan. Strawberry jam is dropped in spoonfuls and swirled through the yogurt to add contrasting sweetness and flavor bursts. A topping of mixed small fruit pieces and optional shaved coconut provides texture and visual appeal. After freezing for at least two hours, the yogurt sets firm enough to break into shards for serving. This method avoids the need for ice cream makers and offers a refreshing frozen snack.
The texture is creamy yet firm when frozen, with smooth yogurt contrast against fruity bits and the occasional crispness from coconut. The almond extract adds a gentle nutty note complementing the sweetness of the jam and maple syrup. It’s ideal for warm days or as a light dessert option.
Serving is straightforward by breaking the frozen block into large pieces, and leftovers can be stored in the freezer. The recipe's simplicity allows customization with different fruits or toppings. Allow a few minutes at room temperature for the bark to soften slightly before eating, to avoid an overly hard texture.
Ingredients
- 250 g yogurt plain, Greek
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract or vanilla
- 3 tablespoons strawberry jam
For the topping

- 1 tablespoons coconut optional, shaved
Instructions

- Mix the yogurt, maple syrup and almond essence in a small bowl, then pour evenly into the pan.
