Fruity Pebble Treats Recipe
Description
This recipe creates Fruity Pebble treats by melting butter and large marshmallows together, then mixing in Fruity Pebble cereal to coat the grains with the marshmallow mixture. The blend is then pressed into a greased 9x13 pan to cool and set into bars. The marshmallow serves as the glue that binds the crispy, colorful cereal pieces into a pliable, chewy snack.
The texture is chewy and sticky with vibrant fruity notes from the cereal contrasting against the sweet marshmallow base. The ease of preparation, involving microwaving in stages and minimal stirring, makes this a straightforward dish needing no baking. Watching the marshmallows carefully as they melt ensures they do not overflow, preserving the right consistency for coating.
Once set, the bars can be cut into squares and enjoyed immediately. These treats are often served as kid-friendly snacks or party desserts and store well at room temperature if kept in an airtight container.

- 12 ounces marshmallows large
- 7-8 cups Fruity Pebble Cereal
