Fudge Brownies
Description
This brownie recipe combines melted salted butter and vegetable oil with granulated and packed brown sugars to create a moist, flavorful base. Eggs and vanilla bring richness and binding. Dry ingredients include all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt to balance sweetness and provide structure. Mixing is done carefully to combine wet and dry components without overworking the batter, preserving tenderness.
Large chunks of milk chocolate candy bars or chips are folded into the thick batter, offering pockets of melted chocolate in the finished brownie. The batter is spread evenly in a parchment-lined or greased 9x13-inch pan, then topped with remaining chocolate chunks for extra indulgence and a textured top.
Baking times allow control over fudginess: 22 to 25 minutes yields a dense, moist brownie, while 30 to 35 minutes produces a more set texture. Cooling for at least an hour before cutting ensures clean slices and optimal texture. These brownies are suited for chocolate lovers seeking a homemade treat that combines a fudgy base with rich chocolate chunks.
