Fudge Jumbles Cookies

Fudge Jumbles Cookies combine the hearty texture of oats with rich dark chocolate and a sweet condensed milk topping. The base cookie dough includes oats ground partially to add chewiness, balanced by brown sugar and butter for moisture and sweetness. A gooey chocolate and condensed milk layer is topped with a crumbly oat cookie topping, baked until lightly browned. These cookies offer a chewy and fudgy contrast, making them suitable for sharing or casual snacking.

Description

Fudge Jumbles Cookies start with a traditional cookie dough enriched by oats processed into a coarse flour for added texture. The dough is spread in a pan and topped with a melted mixture of dark chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to form a fudgy layer. The reserved cookie dough is crumbled on top, creating a layered bar with a crunchy topping once baked. Baking at a moderate temperature for 30 to 35 minutes allows the edges of the topping to brown lightly, while retaining a soft center beneath the chocolate layer.

The combination of bittersweet chocolate with the sweetness of condensed milk provides a rich flavor that complements the oats' chewiness. The cookies are cooled in the pan before slicing, which helps the layers set properly.
