Garlic Bread

This garlic bread recipe features a crusty loaf slathered with a mixture of softened butter, fresh garlic, parsley, and sea salt, then baked to develop a golden crust with a tender interior. A sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and optional red pepper flakes add a subtle sharpness and mild heat. The bread is toasted first to get a light crispness, then broiled briefly to brown the edges and melt the cheese topping.

Description

The Garlic Bread preparation involves slicing a French or Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise and spreading it with a butter mixture made from softened unsalted butter, freshly grated garlic, chopped parsley, and sea salt. Baking at 350°F gently warms the bread and melds the flavors, while broiling at the end crisps and browns the edges to create a lightly crunchy exterior.

Toppings of grated Parmesan cheese, flaky sea salt, additional parsley, and optional red pepper flakes add layers of flavor and texture. This method yields bread that is rich and aromatic with a tender crumb and a crisp edge, making it a versatile side for pastas, soups, or as a snack on its own.
