Garlic Broccoli Stir Fry
Description
This stir fry starts by cutting broccoli crowns into small pieces and slicing carrots thinly. The vegetables are briefly cooked in boiling salted water with a little oil to soften slightly while maintaining texture. After draining, chopped garlic is stir-fried in oil until fragrant to build flavor.
The partially cooked broccoli and carrot slices are added back into the wok with the garlic and salt, then quickly stirred together to combine flavors and heat through. Ingredients
- 1 broccoli cut into small pieces, medium size, crown only
- 1 carrot cut into thin slices, small section
- 2 teaspoons neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 garlic cloves finely chopped
Instructions
- Cut broccoli crown into small pieces
- Add 3 cups of water I pot or wok with 1 teaspoon of salt and several drops of oil. Bring the water to a boiling and then add broccoli and carrot slices to cook for around 2 minutes. Transfer out and drain.
- Heat up other cooking oil in wok; add chopped garlic in to stir fry until aroma.
- Add broccoli and carrot slices; add salt,mix well and serve hot.
