Garlic Butter Shrimp

Garlic Butter Shrimp combines tender Argentinean pink shrimp sautéed with fresh garlic, butter, lemon juice, parsley, and optional red pepper flakes. The shrimp are cooked just until pink and coated in a buttery, lemony sauce that balances richness with brightness. This straightforward recipe is great for a quick seafood dish with a flavorful, buttery garlic finish.

Description

The Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe uses peeled shrimp cooked quickly in a skillet with butter and fresh minced garlic. The garlic is sautéed briefly to release aroma without burning, then shrimp are added and cooked evenly on both sides. The remaining butter, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley are stirred in to create a smooth, bright sauce that coats the shrimp. Optional red pepper flakes add a touch of heat.

This method yields shrimp that are plump and tender with a glossy, buttery coating that has fragrant garlic and fresh herb notes. The lemon juice adds acidity to balance the rich butter, while the parsley contributes fresh color and flavor. It’s suitable as a main dish or an appetizer and pairs well with rice, pasta, or a simple salad.
