Garlic Buttered Angel Hair with Burrata
Description
The recipe begins by cooking angel hair pasta until just tender, then reserving some pasta water. Butter is melted in a skillet and combined with finely diced shallots, minced garlic, and a touch of red pepper flakes to create a fragrant sauce. Salt and freshly cracked black pepper season the sauce. Adding reserved pasta water adjusts the sauce consistency before tossing the pasta and Parmesan cheese with fresh basil for herbaceous brightness.
To serve, the pasta is drizzled with olive oil and topped with torn burrata cheese that melts slightly on contact, creating creamy pockets. A handful of baby arugula adds fresh, peppery flavor and texture contrast. This dish balances the rich butter and cheese with the aromatic garlic and heat from pepper flakes.
The notes suggest serving this sauce with long pasta varieties such as bucatini as an alternative. The combination of ingredients makes for a satisfying, yet nuanced pasta dish showcasing fresh and simple components.
