Garlic Harissa Bacon Pasta
Description
This pasta recipe begins by cooking the pasta until tender and keeping it warm. Bacon diced into pieces is pan-fried until cooked and then set aside. In the same pan, olive oil is added, followed by sliced spring onions which are briefly sautéed to soften. Garlic puree and harissa paste are stirred in and cooked together for approximately two minutes, releasing aromatic and spicy flavors.
The crispy bacon and pasta are returned to the pan to be tossed thoroughly in the harissa sauce, ensuring the pasta is evenly coated. The dish is served topped with pine nuts, adding texture, and soft cheese which contributes a creamy, mild element that balances the spice and saltiness.
Overall, this pasta delivers a bold taste profile combining smoky bacon, spicy harissa, and nutty garnishes, suitable for a flavorful lunch or dinner.
