Garlic Knots with Parmesan
Description
This recipe uses canned pizza dough, which is sliced into equal strips and tied into knot shapes to create uniform, small bread knots. The butter mixture combining garlic powder, dried oregano, parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese is partially brushed before baking to infuse flavor and the knots develop a toasted golden crust in the oven at 400°F.
After baking for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown, the knots receive a final brush of the reserved butter mixture to enhance their buttery, garlicky aroma and give them a glossy finish. The knots' slightly crispy edges contrast with a tender, pillowy interior. The inclusion of Parmesan adds a nutty, salty element complementing the garlic and herbs.
Ideal as an appetizer or accompaniment to Italian dishes, these garlic knots pair well with marinara sauce for dipping. The recipe highlights the ease of using prepared dough for a quick homemade bread without rolling or shaping from scratch.
