The Garlic Mushroom Pizza begins with a homemade whole wheat pizza dough rolled out and brushed with olive oil mixed with crushed garlic to infuse the base with flavor. The mixed mushrooms, including shiitake, oyster, and mini portobello varieties, are lightly cooked with additional crushed garlic to soften and develop their savory notes without overpowering the dough. Fresh chopped basil adds a bright herbal touch while shaved parmesan provides a nutty, salty finish.
Cooking the pizza at 200°C allows the dough to rise and become crisp while gently melding the mushroom and garlic topping. The result is a pizza with a balance between the chewy whole wheat crust, tender mushrooms with a subtle garlic aroma, and the savoriness of cheese and fresh herbs.

Ingredients
- 1 portion whole wheat pizza dough homemade
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic crushed; for the base, clove
- 3 garlic crushed; for the mushrooms, clove
- 250 g mushroom we used shiitake, oyster and mini portobello, mixed varieties
- 20 g basil chopped, fresh
- 40 g parmesan shaved
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C/200°C(fan)/400°F/Gas 6.
- Roll out 1 portion Homemade whole wheat pizza dough.
- In a bowl, mix together 3 tablespoon Olive oil and 3 Garlic clove and spread over the pizza dough.
- Add some spray oil to a frying pan and add 250 g Mixed mushrooms and 3 Garlic clove. Gently heat for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Put the garlic mushrooms on top of the pizza and add 20 g Fresh basil and 40 g Parmesan. Add some cracked black pepper and a pinch of sea salt and put into the oven for 15-20 minutes until the dough has risen and is cooked through.
