Garlic White Wine Shrimp

Garlic White Wine Shrimp combines peeled, deveined medium shrimp sautéed with garlic, onion, and a white wine sauce, finished with fresh lemon juice and parsley. The cooking yields shrimp tender and infused with aromatic, savory flavors balanced by acidity and herbs. The quick sauté and simmer method enhances flavor without overcooking.

Description

This recipe starts by drying shrimp thoroughly before sautéing minced garlic and onion in a mixture of butter and olive oil until golden and fragrant. White wine is added and simmered to develop a light sauce. Shrimp are then cooked until pink and just tender, simmered further to infuse flavors, and seasoned with salt and fresh black pepper. A finishing touch of fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley brightens the dish.

The shrimp have a tender texture with a silky garlic and onion-infused sauce underscored by the subtle acidity of white wine. Cooking carefully prevents toughness and over-drying, maintaining moisture and a balanced flavor profile.

This dish is suitable for immediate serving as a simple main, appetizer, or topping for pasta and rice dishes. The fresh parsley adds color and a mild herbaceous note.
